James Cervelli is a second-generation principal of Cervelli, a full service real estate; brokerage, management and consulting firm, established in 1986 by his father Michael, located on the Gold Coast of North Bergen NJ. James began his real estate career in 2004 as a part time sales and leasing agent while studying at Montclair State University. Upon graduating in 2008, James began working full time, focusing on the sale and leasing of retail and office properties throughout Bergen & Hudson Counties. To date, James has been involved in the leasing of 530,000 sq. ft. of retail & office space and $43M in real estate transactions representing institutional and private clients. During the beginning of his career James also served as a portfolio manager in which he was responsible for the management of retail, office, apartment buildings and Home Owners Associations. This experience provided James with a deep understanding of what is involved in properly managing various types of real estate. Today James is responsible for retail and office sales and leasing for the Brokerage arm of Cervelli and business development for the Management arm of Cervelli, which currently manages 3,000 units in 81 buildings throughout New Jersey and New York. To further his knowledge and provide more value to clients James is currently working towards the distinguished Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) certification.
